AORE Z Series Four-Chuck Tube Laser
Four-chuck heavy-duty tube laser for long, large-diameter structural sections
The Z Series is a four-chuck fully floating tube laser for long, large-diameter structural sections. Three front chucks and one rear chuck separate clamping from material support, holding sections of up to 4000 kg stable through the cut.
Three models cover round tube from 20 to 630 mm and square section to 630 x 630 mm at 6 to 20 kW, in material lengths to 15 m. Larger capacities and longer beds are available on request.
Key features
Fully floating four-chuck design
The four-chuck layout separates tube clamping from material support, with each function handled by dedicated elements. Section stability is maintained through the full cutting cycle, holding cut quality on heavy material.
Simultaneous cutting, loading and unloading
Cutting, raw material loading and finished-part unloading are performed at the same time rather than in sequence. Non-cutting time per length is reduced and machine utilisation is increased.
3+1 precision chuck configuration
Three front chucks and one rear chuck adapt to a range of tube-end processing requirements. Enhanced chuck sealing prevents spark and slag ingress, supporting long-term operation without loss of clamping accuracy.
Full-length zero tail cutting
Coordinated four-chuck clamping with dynamic support allows the full length of each bar to be processed without an unusable remnant. Material yield per length is maximised on heavy section where offcut cost is significant.
Automatic loading and unloading
Automatic loading, centring and finished-part receiving are available for 6, 9 and 12 m material lengths. Manual handling and changeover time are reduced, with operator involvement limited to supervision.
Safety guarding and light curtains
Safety guardrails and high-sensitivity light curtains monitor the processing zone and prevent entry during operation. All machines are supplied with guarding to Australian workplace safety requirements as standard.
Bevel cutting to plus or minus 45 degrees (optional)
An optional bevel cutting head provides bevel cuts to plus or minus 45 degrees on tube and pipe ends. Weld preparation is completed on the laser rather than as a secondary operation.
Is the Z Series right for your workshop?
Model selection is determined by maximum section size, material weight per length and stock lengths. Current model specifications are confirmed with AORE at quotation.
