The Titan Smart-E is a fully electric press brake, driven by servo motors on dual ball screws with no hydraulic system. Ram position is fed back from linear scales on Y1 and Y2 to 0.005 mm, and the range runs from 10 t x 500 mm to 160 t x 3200 mm.

It suits precision sheet metal, small batches and repeat production: no oil, near-zero idle consumption, faster ram response and less routine maintenance than a hydraulic machine. Light curtains are standard and guarding meets Australian workplace safety requirements as delivered.

Fully electric servo drive

Italian servo motors drive the ram directly through timing belts and ball screws, with no pump, valves or oil. Power is drawn only while the ram moves, cutting consumption by about 70 percent against hydraulic, and there is no hydraulic system to service.

Dual ball screw ram with linear scale feedback

Left and right ball screws are mounted on bearing blocks and the ram runs on self-lubricating guides, so eccentric loads do not tilt the ram or load the screws. Linear scales on Y1 and Y2 close the loop to 0.005 mm.

Delem DA-66S controller and CNC crowning

Delem DA-66S with 2D programming and 3D simulation as standard; ESA S875 or SCS920 to order. The crowning system calculates compensation from tonnage and length and a throat deformation compensator corrects frame deflection at the columns.

Servo backgauge on dual linear guides

Servo-driven X and R axes on ball screws with manual Z finger positioning, carried on a dual linear guide structure. Front supports run on dual linear guides and lock at any position.

Electric or hydraulic?

Electric earns its place on smaller components with several bends, where the cycle time and the idle energy both matter. On long or heavy work a hydraulic machine is usually still the better buy. Tell us what you make and we will say which way we would go.
