ProStore Vertical Sheet Rack
Vertical pull-out racking for sheets and offcuts
The Vertical Sheet Rack stands sheet on edge in individual pull-out frames rather than stacking it flat. It is built for the material that clutters every fabrication shop: offcuts, part sheets, one-off grades and the remnant nobody wants to dig for. Fifteen layers in a footprint of roughly 2.7 by 1.7 metres, with each frame pulling out so the sheet can be lifted clear without moving anything else.
Key features
Eight or ten grades in a pallet footprint
Standing sheet vertically puts eight or ten separate slots into a footprint a flat stack would fill with one grade. Everything is separated, everything is reachable, and the floor it frees is usually worth more than the rack costs.
Built for the offcuts, not the full sheets
Most racking assumes full sheets of one grade. This is for what is left over: part sheets, remnants, sample material and short-run grades. Giving those a home is usually what stops them being re-cut from new stock because nobody could find them.
Each unit rolls fully out, and one person can do it
Every sliding unit pulls out one hundred per cent, so the sheet comes clear of the rack in full view rather than being half-visible in a stack. The action is light enough for one person, which is the difference between a rack that gets used and one that gets worked around.
Sheet stays flat and unmarked
Leaned against a wall or a rack frame, thin sheet bows and the face gets scratched by whatever is next to it. Held vertically in its own frame it stays flat and the surface stays clean, which matters on stainless and prefinished material.
Safer than the wall it replaces
Sheet stood against a wall is one of the more dangerous things in a workshop. Captive in a frame it cannot slide, fall or be pulled over, and the operator is not reaching behind stacked material to get at it.
