The Daito GTA and GTS 5080 combine automatic length positioning, CNC mitre cutting and programmed cutting control for structural steel sections. Blade speed and feed rate are selected from a section profile library, and mitres to 45° are set automatically from the program.
The GTA feeds material with powered pinch rollers and suits single-section cutting, as a stand-alone saw or within a Daito drilling and coping line. The GTS feeds with a 2000 mm stroke shuttle vice and adds vertical vices for cutting bundled material up to 500 mm high.

Pinch Roller Feed with Dual Measuring Discs (GTA)
Powered pinch rollers position the workpiece in one continuous feed, reducing the repeated indexing of a shuttle-vice system. Two measuring discs independently check material movement, and the machine stops before cutting if their readings differ beyond the permitted tolerance.
Shuttle Vice Feed and Bundle Cutting (GTS)
The GTS feeds material with a 2000 mm stroke shuttle vice on the infeed side. Three vertical vices clamp bundled material up to 500 mm high, with bundle capacity to 750 x 300 mm.
Indexable Front Shuttle Vice
The front shuttle vice advances short pieces and remnants beyond the pinch rollers, supporting the final stages of material processing and discharge. 500mm stroke for both models.
Automatic Leading-End Detection
Sensors detect the leading end of the workpiece and establish the datum for length positioning, reducing manual measurement and setup.
Vice-Linked Blade Guide
The left blade guide moves with the vice to maintain support close to the workpiece. Hydraulically loaded guide inserts provide blade support across varying section widths.
Step-Feed Blade Pinch Prevention
Daito’s step-feed function helps relieve blade pinching caused by internal stresses in structural sections, reducing the risk of blade damage and interrupted cuts.
Blade Vibration Damping
A damper roller supports the blade during cutting to reduce vibration and cutting noise, helping maintain stable cutting conditions and extend blade life.

A transformer to suit Australian three-phase supply is supplied with the machine. IMS holds Daito parts in Australia and services the machine with its own technicians.
