The Cosen SH-510LDM and SH-710LDM are semi-automatic horizontal bandsaws with the saw frame on linear-guided dual columns and a heavy cast swivel centre that mitres 60 degrees to either side. Hydraulic frame lift with return to a preset height and a full stroke hydraulic vice make each cut a load, clamp and start operation. The SH-510LDM is offered with a manual swivel and long lever lock, or with hydraulic swivel and automatic angle positioning from a wheeled control station with a 7 inch HMI.
They suit structural fabricators cutting beam, channel, angle and RHS where left and right mitres are needed on the same bar and the operator sets each angle. The SH-510LDM cuts 330 x 510 mm in a compact footprint; the SH-710LDM cuts 420 x 710 mm on a 7.5 HP drive with a 10 degree blade cant for structural section.
Key features
Double mitre to 60 degrees both ways
The saw frame turns on a heavy cast iron swivel centre to any angle from 60 degrees left to 60 degrees right, read from a large scale. Left and right mitres on one bar are cut from a single clamping without turning the material.
Linear-guided dual column frame
The saw frame rides on dual linear guides rather than a hinge, so the blade descends square through the full depth of a wide section. Cut squareness holds on 700 mm beam at full mitre where a hinge frame would deflect.
Hydraulic swivel with automatic angle positioning
On the SH-510LDMA the frame swivels and locks hydraulically and positions itself to an angle entered on the HMI. The operator keys the angle and the saw sets it, so repeat angles are exact and changeover takes seconds.
Full stroke cylinder vice and split vice
The vice clamps through its full stroke hydraulically and is split either side of the blade, so any section within capacity is held on both sides of the cut. Parts come off burr free and the remnant is reduced to the minimum.
10 degree blade cant on the SH-710LDM
The larger machine runs its 41 mm blade at 10 degrees to the material on a 7.5 HP drive with a gearbox rated for high lateral load. Beam, channel and heavy RHS are cut faster and with longer blade life than on a square-entry frame.
Guide arm traversing with the vice
The solid guide arm is mounted directly under the saw frame and moves in sync with the vice on dual linear guides. The unsupported blade span is always the minimum for the section clamped, without the operator repositioning the arm.
Independent control station
On the hydraulic swivel model the controls sit on a wheeled station with a quick connector and 7 inch HMI showing cutting information, and on the manual model the hanging panel swivels from front to back of the frame. The operator works from the loading side at either mitre direction.
Dual valve feed and hydraulic blade tension
Feed rate and cutting pressure are set on separate valves, and blade tension is set and held hydraulically. Feed is matched to the section without trial cuts and tension is correct on every start.
