The LGS loads raw sheet onto the laser and removes the cut sheet, both without crane or forklift handling.
It suits steady production where time lost between nests has become more significant than the cost of handling equipment.
Key features
Loads the sheet and takes it off again
The gantry picks raw sheet, loads the laser and removes the processed sheet when cutting is complete. Repetitive handling in both directions is removed, leaving the operator on production and part removal.
Coordinated with the cutting cycle
The scheduling system times sheet movement against the laser and its exchange table, so material is ready when the machine requires it. Waiting time between finished nests is eliminated.
Sensors and interlocks around the moving gear
Sensors monitor pickup, travel and placement through the cycle, with interlocks protecting the handling area. The guarding layout is specified to the installation and supplied with the machine to Australian workplace safety requirements.
Is it the loading or the unloading costing you time?
The LGS is specified where both loading and unloading time are limiting laser output. Selection against a simpler loading arm is determined by the current feeding and clearing method and sheets per shift.
