Rail-mounted cantilever racking for pipe, tube, bar and structural section. Each rack is double-sided and travels on floor rails. A set runs from 2 to 10 racks, sitting closed together until access is needed, then moving apart to open one shared aisle where you're working. Movement is PLC controlled, and each level's arms roll fully out so material lifts straight off by crane or forklift.
Key features
One shared aisle instead of one per rack
Fixed rows need a permanent aisle at every rack. These sit closed and open an aisle only where you’re picking. A set of six double-sided racks stores what a much longer run of fixed racking would, in the floor space of two.
PLC controlled movement
The racks are driven to position, not pushed. One operator opens the aisle from the control point.
Safety systems on the moving racks
Interlocks, sensors or light curtains prevent movement while an aisle is occupied. Specify the arrangement for your installation.
Material off the floor
Stock on the ground is a trip hazard and round material rolls. Racked, it’s captive and reachable without moving what’s on top of it.
Arms roll fully out
Each level extends clear of the frame, so bundles or single lengths come off the top by crane or forklift.
Both faces of every rack
Each rack is double-sided, so material is stored and picked from either face. A set of ten racks gives twenty storage faces on one run of rail.
