Daito CR Plasma Coping Robot Beam Line

Daito CR Plasma Coping Robot Beam Line

Robotic plasma cutting, coping and marking for structural sections to 1025 or 1325 mm

  • Capacity 1025 or 1325 mm
  • 8-axis plasma
  • Hypertherm XPR300

The Daito CR1000 combines robotic plasma cutting and marking for structural steel sections. A six-axis robot on a two-axis moving base processes copes, notches, holes, slots, bevels and cut-to-length profiles, with four-sided access without rotating the material. Integrated plasma marking provides component identification and weld layout marks, while laser measurement detects workpiece position for accurate processing.

Key features

8-Axis Robot Cell

A six-axis Motoman robot is mounted on a two-axis travelling base. This extends the working range of the plasma torch and keeps the robot in a stable cutting position across the full section for consistent accuracy and cut quality.

Rotating Torch Base

The rotating torch base allows the robot to approach the section from any direction while reducing twisting and wear on cables and hoses.

Laser Section Measurement

A non-contact laser sensor measures the actual position and dimensions of the material before cutting. The program automatically compensates for normal material variation and misalignment.

Four-Sided Cutting and Marking

The robot cuts and marks all four sides of the section including the underside. Beams and hollow sections can be completed without turning the material or requiring a second setup.

Last-Cut Function

The material is accurately supported and positioned through the final cut. This allows more of the usable length to be processed and reduces remnant waste.

Integrated Plasma Layout Marking

The plasma torch applies part numbers and weld layout marks as part of the coping program. Cutting and marking are completed in the same operation without a separate marking system.

Why fabricators choose Daito

  • Made in Japan. Daito-Seiki designs and builds its machines in Japan, and it shows in the machining, the fit and the electrical work.
  • Reliability. Daito machines are built for continuous production, with long periods between faults and less unplanned downtime over the life of the machine.
  • Straightforward to run. Operators are productive in days, not weeks. The control is simple and does what the job needs.
  • Built around the operator. Design decisions are made for the person running the machine, not for the brochure.
