The PU Series is AORE's speed-focused sheet laser: fully enclosed, exchange table, and built around getting more parts off the machine per shift. AORE quote a 50 to 80 per cent lift in cutting speed over their previous platform, achieved through a low centre of gravity and a lightweight aluminium alloy beam that carries less inertia through direction changes.
Available from 3 kW to 30 kW across nine bed sizes, from 3000 x 1500 mm up to 12000 x 3000 mm. The speed advantage is largest on thin gauge, where the machine spends more time moving than cutting.
Key features
Cutting speed up to 80 percent higher
180 m/min at 2 G, with 8 Hz low-pass filtering to keep cut quality at speed. On a nest of small parts the gain shows up as shorter cycle time rather than a faster headline figure.
Low centre of gravity
The frame is designed with mass carried low, which keeps the machine stable under load at full traverse. Stability at speed is what holds accuracy at 0.03 mm rather than only at low feed rates.
Lightweight aluminium alloy beam
A high-strength aluminium beam reduces moving mass, so the head changes direction faster for the same drive power. Lower inertia also means less energy per cut and less wear on the drives.
Zoned dust extraction, 95 percent or better
Extraction follows the head by zone rather than drawing across the whole bed. Capture at the cut is 95 percent or better, which keeps fume out of the workshop and reduces filter load and power draw.
Safety light curtain, optional
A light curtain gives continuous sensing across the access opening with no blind spots. Worth specifying where the machine sits in an open area of the workshop or where sign-off requires sensing as well as physical guarding.
Enclosed downforce extraction, optional
An enclosed downdraught blower pulls smoke and particulate away from the cutting area before it can settle on the sheet. Specified where surface finish matters, such as prefinished or stainless work that goes straight to fabrication.
