The PU Series is AORE's speed-focused sheet laser: fully enclosed, exchange table, and built around getting more parts off the machine per shift. AORE quote a 50 to 80 per cent lift in cutting speed over their previous platform, achieved through a low centre of gravity and a lightweight aluminium alloy beam that carries less inertia through direction changes.
Available from 3 kW to 12 kW in two bed sizes. If you are cutting mostly thinner material in volume, the PU is the machine in AORE's sheet range that suits that work best — the speed advantage is largest on thin gauge, where the machine spends more time moving than cutting.
Key features
50 to 80 per cent faster cutting
AORE rate the PU platform at 50 to 80 per cent higher cutting speed than the machine it replaced, with peak traverse of 180 m/min. Worth understanding where that gain comes from: it is mostly in the moves between cuts, so the thinner the material and the busier the nest, the more of it you actually see.
Low centre of gravity, lightweight beam
The gantry uses a high-strength aluminium alloy beam, and the machine is built with a deliberately low centre of gravity. Less mass moving means less inertia to fight at every direction change, which is what allows the speed without the cut quality falling away at the corners.
Zoned dust collection that follows the head
Extraction tracks the cutting head by zone rather than pulling across the whole bed, and AORE rate capture at 95 per cent or better. Cleaner air around the machine, less load on your filtration, and a lower power draw than running full-bed extraction continuously.
Safety light curtain available
An intelligent light curtain system is available as an option, giving continuous protective sensing around the load and unload area with no blind spots. Worth specifying if the machine sits in an open workshop where people walk past it, rather than in a fenced cell.
Two bed sizes, 3 kW to 12 kW
PU3015 at 3100 × 1550 mm and PU3216 at 3200 × 1600 mm, both with an exchange table. The 3216 suits shops buying 3200 mm sheet and tired of losing the end of every plate. Talk to us about power before you decide — 12 kW is not always the right answer, and the running cost difference is real.
