Toptec CNC Slotting Machines provide fast, accurate machining of internal keyways, splines, polygons, tapers and specialised profiles.
With CNC-controlled table movement and rotary indexing, complex components can be completed from a single setup—reducing manual positioning, operator input and the need to outsource slotting work.

Key features
Precision CNC Axis Control
The X and Y axes position the table, while the C axis automatically rotates and indexes the workpiece. On the CNC-450 and CNC-550 models, the Z axis also controls the ram stroke and cutting speed directly from the program.
SYNTEC Control with Conversational Programming
Keyway width, depth, quantity and position are entered on the SYNTEC control and the program is generated automatically, then proven with handwheel simulation before cutting. Standard keyways, splines and internal profiles are programmed without G-code, reducing setup errors and the risk of tool collisions.
Automatic Rotary Indexing to 0.001°
The servo-driven rotary table automatically positions the workpiece with indexing resolution down to 0.001°. This allows multiple keyways, splines, polygons and irregular profiles to be machined accurately from one setup.
Swivelling Head for Tapered and Helical Keyways
The ram head can be angled left or right to machine tapered keyways. Combined with the CNC rotary table, it can also produce helical keyways and other specialised internal profiles.
Powered Tool Spindle on the CNC-450S
The CNC-450S includes a servo-driven BT50 powered tool spindle. This additional controlled axis allows more complex gear teeth, splines and internal profiles to be machined automatically.
CNC-550 for Large and Heavy Components
The CNC-550 is designed for large gears, couplings, housings and other heavy components. It features a 550 mm ram stroke, an 850 mm rotary table and a maximum table load of 2000 kg.
