The Cosen C-320NC, C-420NC, C-520NC and C-620NC are fully automatic horizontal bandsaws on a gantry of two oversized round columns tied by a cross link, with hydraulic shuttle-vice feed under Cosen's Smart NC-100 control. Four capacities cover 320 to 620 mm round and up to 620 x 760 mm rectangular, for straight cut-off of solids, tube and section in single pieces or bundles.
They suit steel merchants, machine shops and fabricators running cut lists in volume where feed force must stay even from the top to the bottom of a large section. The C-300NC to C-460NC hinge saws cover the same work at lower cost for smaller sections; the C-780FNC covers longer stock and pack cutting above 620 mm.
Key features
Twin column frame with cross link
The saw frame runs on two oversized round columns joined by a cross link at the top. Cutting force and feed rate stay even from the top of the cut to the bottom, so large solids and thick-wall tube are cut square without the frame deflecting.
Smart NC-100 control
The 5.7 inch HMI with Mitsubishi PLC stores up to 100 jobs by length and quantity, compensates kerf loss automatically and shuts the machine down at job end or when the bar runs out. A cut list is entered once and run unattended, with blade speed, blade life and error codes read from the screen.
Double retracting vice jaws
Both jaws of the shuttle vice open and close together, so crooked or misaligned bar is centred by the vice rather than pushed to one side. Bent stock feeds without jamming and the cut stays square to the bar.
Automatic work height selector
A height selector and quick approach rod bring the saw head down at rapid rate to a set clearance above the material, then feed at the cutting rate. Air cutting time is removed from every stroke without the operator setting the approach height.
Split front vice
The front vice holds the workpiece on both sides of the blade, so the cut is burr free and the remnant is reduced to the minimum length. Less material is scrapped on each bar and parts need no deburring at the saw.
Dual valve feed control
Feed rate and cutting pressure are set on separate valves against a material scale on the panel. Feed is matched to the material without trial cuts, and the blade is protected on hard or work-hardening grades.
Hydraulic blade tension
Blade tension is set and held hydraulically with breakage detection, and the blade is relaxed when the machine is switched off. Tension is correct on every start and blade life is extended between shifts.
Bundle cutting
Hydraulic top clamps and full-stroke vices are fitted for bundle cutting, selected from the HMI with the single or bundle cut switch. Multiple pieces of bar or tube are held from above and the side and cut in one stroke. Optional.
