AORE HW Series Handheld Laser Welder
Handheld fibre laser welding for stainless, steel and aluminium
- Power 1500 to 3000 W
- Speed 0 to 120 mm/s
- Seam gap up to 0.5 mm
The HW Series is a handheld fibre laser welder for stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, available at 1500, 2000 and 3000 W. Heat input is concentrated into a narrow zone, so thin material does not distort and weld seams require little or no dressing.
Parameters are set on screen by material and thickness. A competent tradesperson is productive on the machine after short training rather than an extended apprenticeship in TIG.
Key features
Handheld welding torch
Lightweight torch with a range of nozzles for different joint types. The head fires only when the nozzle is in contact with the work, so the beam cannot be triggered into open air; correct eyewear, screening and training remain mandatory and are covered at handover.
Touchscreen control with parameter presets
Welding parameters are selected on screen by material and thickness, with real-time visualisation of the weld in progress. Setup is repeatable between operators and skill requirements are reduced compared with TIG.
Heavy-duty castors
The complete unit runs on heavy-duty castors and is approximately the size of a welder trolley. The machine is moved to large assemblies that cannot be lifted onto a bench.
Welding speed to 120 mm/s
Welding speed of up to 120 mm/s, three to ten times that of TIG or plasma on thin material. Thin stainless and aluminium panels remain flat, and visible seams need a light polish rather than grinding and re-finishing.
Dual-temperature water cooling
A dual-temperature chiller with three-dimensional thermal management keeps the source and optics stable through continuous operation. Output does not drift as the machine warms, and the unit is rated for workshop conditions from 5 to 40 degrees.
Is the HW Series right for your workshop?
Selection between the 1500, 2000 and 3000 W units is determined by the material, thickness and volume in regular production. Eyewear, screening and training requirements are specified with the machine.

Power is selected to the material and thickness in regular production. Handheld laser welding requires laser-rated eyewear, screening of the work area and operator training; these are specified with the machine and covered at handover.
