What Technomark build

Technomark make part marking equipment using two technologies: electromagnetic dot peen, which indents the mark into the material with a stylus, and fibre laser, which burns or anneals it into the surface. Both leave a permanent mark rather than a label.

Machines come as bench stations, integrated units that sit in a production line, and portable ones you carry to the part. Text, serial numbers, logos, date stamps, Data Matrix and QR codes. Everything is designed and manufactured in France.

Why we import Technomark

Two technologies, one supplier

Dot peen for deep marks in steel that survive shot blasting and paint, fibre laser for fine detail, codes and marking on stainless, aluminium or plastic. Which one suits depends on the part, and Technomark build both.

Marking that meets an audit

Serial numbers, Data Matrix and QR codes readable through the life of the part. If your customer requires traceability on structural or safety-critical work, this is the equipment that satisfies it.

Take the machine to the part

Portable, battery-powered units for beams and plate too big to bring to a bench, alongside fixed stations and units that integrate into a line.

A specialist, not a sideline

Technomark have done nothing but marking since 2000, with more than 21,000 machines installed and three subsidiaries. The equipment is supported rather than badged and forgotten.

Technomark Marking

Technomark was founded in 2000 at La Talaudiere, near Saint-Etienne in France, and still designs and manufactures there. It employs around 160 people worldwide, sells into 47 countries through distributors and subsidiaries in France, China and the United States, and has more than 21,000 marking machines in service.

IMS imports Technomark into Australia. Marking is usually the last operation before a part ships, so it is worth getting the method right for the material and the mark you need to leave.

Talk to us about marking

What are you marking, and what has to survive?

Tell us the material, the part size and whether the mark has to survive blasting, galvanising or paint. That decides between dot peen and laser, and whether you want it portable, on a bench or in the line.
